About Littlebury Green

This tiny Uttlesford hamlet lies close to its near neighbour and namesake, Littlebury, about 4 miles north-west of Saffron Walden. Its extant 52 houses are a mix of era and architecture, though quite a number now have a more modern feel and style. There has been a settlement at Littlebury Green for over four centuries. No pubs or amenities now remain in the village, though the community still holds events such as its annual fete and barn dances.

St Peter’s church, though under threat from low attendance a few decades ago, was saved by the introduction in 1983 of St Peter’s Community Centre, another local point of interaction for the Littlebury Green residents.
